Hello my g35 coupe shut off on me on the way to work and won’t start, I had it towed home and it’s definitely something with the crankshaft position sensor (rpm gauge doesn’t move when I crank the engine) 3 weeks ago had the same issue and I changed the cam and crank sensors, so this time I figured it was because I didn’t use oem or hitatchi brand so I put the original cam sensors back in and but a hitachi crank sensor in but still not cranking

I don’t know if it’s related but my g has been having electrical issues for about 2 months. Dome lights sometimes work, no running tail lights, no turn signals and now my window switches don’t work

replaced the crankshaft position sensor plug and wires still nothing

 

Any chance you have water in the IPDM underneath the battery? Somewhat common issue. Drain holes plug with debris, and voila, wet electronics. Pull the battery and see what you see....

 

I checked that I’ve had the battery out a few days now drain plugs are clear and there’s no sign on moisture in that area

 

I recently changed both camshaft and the crank shaft sensor, also replaced the battery and starter and lastly the fuel pump. After I replaced the fuel pump it starts ONLY ON COLD. If I drive the car for about 15 minutes and turn it off it would only crank when trying to start. When the car does run it runs perfectly fine. My car only starts when its cold start but yesterday when it was 98 degrees outside and the car was “cold” it didnt want to start. PLEASE HELP My car has been down for 2 months now. I also replaced the ipdm and checked all fuses and relays. Not sure what else to do…
