Expensive mistake? Need help with some reassembly
Currently in the process of re-doing my timing, gallery gaskets, various pumps in my timing case. When trying to take off my intake cam sprocket, I removed four 10mm from the front of a cylindrical housing over the intake cam sprocket. I pulled off the front, and out came about 6 small metal rods and their respective bearings. I totally did not need to remove this piece at all, and it’s mad expensive to buy a new one ($260-$600). Can I reassemble this piece and put it back on? Or is that better left to a professional?
