New G35! Stuck in gear
New G35! Stuck in gear
I'm going to be purchasing a low milage 2004 G35 automatic. It has some body damage and needs a radiator among a few other things. The guy hit a deer.
The main issue is that the car is currently stuck in drive. This occurred after the collision and the car worked fine beforehand.
I've worked on a lot of cars in my time but never one of these. What could be the issue here? Could it be be major transmission failure? Seems unlikey as the deer didn't go under the car or anything. Is there a shift linkage visible under the car? What should I inspect before final purchase.

Page AT-290 on the attached link shows the shifter and linkage.
