Easiest way to access air duct boot to valve cover hose?

So I reinstalled this hose

and am pretty sure I still have a leak because putting the new hose on was an absolute pain and required taking off the entire intake system up to the throttle body and even then it was barely reachable and I had to use the length of my entire arm + needle nose pliers to actually reach the clips to secure the hose.

Anyways, does anyone have some tips on accessing this hose? Preferably without having to take off things that are a pain to put back in place (the intake system up to the throttle body).

Any help would be appreciated.

Easiest way is to remove the intake piping, remove the PCV hose from the intake piping and install it onto the valve cover first, then install the intake piping and finally connect the PCV hose to the intake piping.
