So back Around august 2024 my g35 started having these "very hard hesitations" check engine light came on, plugged up my Autel diagnostic tool, ended up getting a
P0420 code and also started smelling the sulfur/rotten egg smell. So from from then on I would clear out the code with my autel tool and drive where ever i needed to go( within town ) sometimes id get the jerking hesitation along with getting the check engine light & sometimes I could go to the store and not have a problem but I have a 1hr and 20 min drive to work so eventually within a week or so of this 1st happening I parked the car and didnt mess with it.
So finally when we got a couple of warm days in February this year (2025) I started the car up, no check engine light and car is idling fine.
I have even taken off on a drive twice now trying to get the code to throw again and as of today 3/14/25 car is actually running fine.
My plan was to run it to my mechanic if and when it started to act up to see if I need to replace catalytic converters or if it was 1 of the 4 sensors going bad but without it running bad or throwing codes its not gonna do me any good to take it to the mechanic.
So today I drove it a few miles for about 20 mins just to see if it would stay stable and it did. I was thinking about getting this product called cataclean and run it through cause even though car isn't jerking or hesitating it does produce the sulfur / rotten egg smell when I accelerate to a somewhat high speed.
But anyway this is the recorded data from that drive, was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on how these numbers look. Also if anyone has tried cataclean before and what was your results if so. Would appreciate any info/help from you guys thanks.
