Question Driver's side window went a bit crazy then stopped working

Hi y'all. I have a 2005 6MT G35C w/~50k miles on the odometer. Last week I was driving home and after rolling down the driver's side window it wouldn't roll back up correctly. It would roll up fully but then reverse about half-way, like if the limit wasn't properly set. I was able to get it to close fully buy pulsing the switch up for a fraction of a second at a time until it was fully closed. Yesterday I tried to roll down the window and nothing. Passenger side window works fine. I checked both fuse boxes and don't see a fuse for the power windows. Anyone know how that circuit is fused? I'm hoping it's just a blown fuse, but if not, then I guess it's either the switch or the motor right? Here's hoping that this is a common issue with an easy fix....

I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting the 12V battery; no change.
I've tried using the key to open both windows w/the vehicle off; only PS opens.

First try the window reset procedure. You have to remove the door panel and push a button for the window motor in conjunction with raising and lowering the window. Here's one video:

If that doesn't work, you might have a fault in the driver door master switch. There's more brains in the switch than just up and down....

Thanks, I'll give the reset procedure a try but I think it's probably more than that since I don't hear anything when actuating the DS window button to any of the positions versus when I actuate the PS, I hear what sounds like a relay. Do you know offhand if the DS & PS window connectors are swappable? Just wondering if I'll be able to do some additional troubleshooting to isolate the issue between the motor, regulator, and switch.

The driver door and passenger door switches are not the same. The driver is the master switch, and it has additional circuit boards in it. I doubt they are swappable.

Do both sides window motors sound similar? Do both windows go down at the same speed? The limiter is inside the driver side window switch and those are not forever switches.
I would check how fast each side goes up and down using a power probe and if both are moving at similar speeds, then you can rule out the motor. The window switch senses voltage overload and stops the motor IF your window switch has Automatic Up and/or Down option in it. My 07 has the motor power relay inside the window motor housing i believe.. My 2021 Ford Explorer master window switch went out just after 10 months of light use.
Here, get your FSM

The driver's side doesn't window doesn't move at all. I only hear some sound from the switch, nothing from the motor. Thanks for the FSM link!

Replacing the window motor fixed the issue. Now I just have to find where coolant is seeping from and fix that. For a Japanese car, mine sure has a lot of stilly problems.

Not much work for a 20 year old G, unlike a 10 year old Jaguar that prefers to decompose itself because Ford provided cheap plastics. Get a endoscope from AliExpress for $20 and you'll find your leak.
