Giovanna Rims Contract with Ifiniti?

Hey i was just on Giovanna racing and their main site, i was looking around and noticed a promotion of some sort. I was thinking some of you would be interested in checking it out.
http://www.giovannawheels.com/infiniti.html
I really like the rims on that g35 and think im gonan get those in 19's. Tell me what you guys think of it. Also, what do you guys think of putting a carbon hood on a g would look like. Do you think it will have a significant difference in performance or anything. Also the navigation system.. does anybody have any pictures of a custom job for a navigation system preferably touch screen because im going to have a racing chip put into my car, thats gonna go through the battery up into the screen so i can control the cars performance from there as well. Please put some pictures up if you dont mind and wanna help out another g friend out :] ! and finally what other upgrades would you guys do to your car, because im going to start racing my car and i wanna look into a turbo, NO NOS <-- POS (edited) , and some other stuff. Thanks for your time guys and thanks for reading the post.

Re: Giovanna Rims Contract with Ifiniti?

GLykos, Giovanna's are just too bling for me but that's all in the eye of the beholder. As far as the hood I don't think a carbon fiber hood would make any differance at all unless you are gutting the car for pure wieght reduction. It really depends on what you mean by "racing".

The hood is already aluminum so I think it's wieght differance would be nominal. I personally am saving for Iforged wheels but again that is preference. As far as the NAV that sounds like a serious custom job. I have only heard of very few tuners that are just starting to crack the ECU on the 350z let alone the G35c. Setting up a "Fast & Furiuos" racing system like that to interface with the NAV is big money and mod's even after they crack the ECU.

As far as turbo's, again, since the car is so new there are very few tuners stateside that have tackled the G36c with a TT system or Supercharger. I would look to Stillen first for that since they are usually on the edge of that scene. But I know they just started testing a supercharger for the 350z so the G won't be far off.

Most of the people I have heard talk about these things for our car have had them custom built by small shops so there really isn't a "system" out yet that I am aware of. Most likely Greddy will be the first since they tune most for japanese vehicles so watch them. Good luck man. Peace

Ummmmm... let's put it this way: the 19" Giovannas would hurt your acceleration more than the carbonfiber hood would help.

Glycos:

Here are some pictures of the Garmin StreetPilot III install in the G35c. It is placed in the pit where the Infiniti Nav. would have gone. I am using Marin Grade velcro on the bottom, and it is rock steady. Someone would have a devil of a time getting it out of there. The guts of the Garmin can be improved as they release internal software upgrades by dowloading the improved software to your hard drive, and then, into the Garmin with an Installer module they provide. Try to do that with any of the Factory installs. Another big advantage, is that you can place the unit in other vehicles. It's portable. A rental car, for example. Lots and lots of advantages. I'm on my third Garmin. Love em. They have a rebate program under way now until July 6, 2003 where your net price for the system would be $660.
