First Day Experiances

Ok first off today was insane!!

Flew to Syracuse to pick up the coupe and everything goes smoothly. I used the NAV to make my way to Rhode Island to graduate this weekend from college. The ride couldn't have gotten better. All I can say is the G35c is the most insane sh*t I have ever had the pleasure to drive. I also got to drive the 6mt sedan from the airport, damn fine ride! Within 45 minutes of my 5 hour drive naturally i get pulled over by a state trooper. 82 in a 65! Well after a little begging and an "officer I literally just took this car off the lot", I got the ticket changed to a no seat belt ticket. The cop loved the car and wished me luck with it!! The rest of the ride was crazy I still cant friggin believe this car, damn fine work Infiniti!! Still have to break her in but she's well on her way. Oh and of course tons upon tons of blank stares as I drove by people and pulled up places. I expect these feelings to last a damn long time I'll tell you that much. Quite possibly the best day of my Driving life if you ask me. I'm proud to be driving this precise machine!!! Now I know how all you current G owners feel and to you future ones it's well worth the wait. Believe me!

~~~~~~Think It's time to drive~~~~~~~~~~~
cool... sorry to hear about the ticket ... but the car just seems to get up there on the speedo all by itself ... really unnoticeably... bizarre.
anyway...what color and options did you get man?
later bro.
I got Black on Black 6mt with everything except aero. I'm pretty sure I'm getting the aero package but I need to let the wallet heal first. The ticket was ok the cop actually gave me a break. And yeah that thing does get up there quick and quietly, well at least when it's being broken in. all in all great day!
If your were driving 82 mph without wearing your seatbelt.. you deserve a ticket. You got a deathwish or something?
Actually what he said/meant was that instead of giving him a ticket for speeding the cop had to write something, so he gave him the non-moving violation one of no seat belt. This way his insurance etc would not be affected, plus it is a LOT cheaper ticket all together.
Re: First Day Experiances
Thats exactly what happened GSM. I am a seatbelt addict, definatly have caught myself putting on my belt to back into the garage before. The cop gave me a break. And 82 in the coupe is way too easy, damn the interior is quiet!! Amazing car! (not that I need to tell you guys that)
Re: First Day Experiances
Congrats on the new ride! Glad to hear you decided to go for the black one instead of waiting. A BO in the hand is worth 2 BS's on the boat! At least I hope it proves to be.
What an awesome machine Infiniti has unleashed upon the unsuspecting roadgoing masses! I love how you can place the car on the street exactly where and when you want it. It's so responsive and handles so well. (The term "land shark" came to mind when I took mine home for the first time.)
And you're right, the car effortlessly leaps upwards of 80mph with so little urging, that it's very easy to get into trouble. Lucky for you that you ran into a rather cool Cop. Seems he was happy for you rather than being a jealous hater. Who knows, maybe he's even an enthusiast himself. Bless that man in blue.
I hope you're certainly happy with your decision. Good luck with the car!
Re: First Day Experiances
Could that be a record time to get a ticket, 45 minutes off the lot ?? Probably not !! Congrats. I saw a post here a couple of days ago of a black coupe with clear corners. Wow, that looked really good. Good luck getting the pics up. ...dean
I've been away from home since thursday when I got the car and alreaday have 800+ miles on her and about the same number of dead bugs on the front bumper. Oh and pollen LOTS of pollen! Tomorrow I will be going home so she'll get her first bath soon. Just need to get some supplies (microfiber). Loving every miunte! Oh and break in is a b*tch.
