XM vs. SIRIUS
I dont have either, but based on what is tuend into on the customers cars there is quite a veriety of channels on sirius. Most of the time (most g35 owners are age 18-35) its a hip hop/rap station or rock of some kind.
I dont know about XM, but we replace the sirius antennas all the time, and every now and then the complete unit.

I don't have either, but if you do a search I believe there are a few threads that might help

If you're from the NY area, and you love music, you have to go with sirius. Many of the DJ's are from other NY radio stations, and the programming and song selection are unbelievable. You'll never be able to listen to commercial radio again. It's that good. I have it in my '03 6m/t coupe, but I did it aftermarket and transport the receiver into my home and office as well.
When my wife got her '04 G35 6m/t sedan (yes, we have 2 G's in our garage), it came with XM. She subscribed, then discontinued within 3 months. The difference was programming and song selection, which of course is totally subjective. We've gotten a second portable sirius receiver, that she uses for long drives.

From a business standpoint neither is making money right now. In fact they are both losing quite a bit. Having said that, XM has something like 3 times the number of subscribers and is looking more viable long term.
Just something to think about...

I'm going with XM because it has a wider variety of music with less popular songs than Sirius. I like to discover new somewhat obscure music (could be from the 60s 70s) and I think XM is better suited for that.
They both have good service; generally it seems most people under 30 like Sirius while the over 30's tend to like XM. You also have all the sport alliances if you wanted to listen to games over the sat. Its really a personal preference, if you read all the threads most people tend to like Sirius's content mainly because of their better selection of pop music (dance, hip hop/rap, new pop etc). You can get one week online sub's for free to sample the music... if your still not sure. Sirius DJ's their stations more than XM, so you get better playlists, but you do get the brief commentary in between songs which doesn't bother me but I have heard some people say they dislike it.

XM has better hardware, but Sirius has better programming and more channels that are commercial-free. Plus Sirius has Stern coming! Before, XM was cheaper so that is probably why they got more subscribers, but now they are the same price and I think more people will be getting Sirius.
