How many of you bought your car right off the lot?
I was just curious as to how many of you were able to go to the dealer and drive off the lot with your brand new G35 in the same day. I have read several threads showing that a bunch of you waited or are currently waiting for your cars. I checked my dealer's inventory and found the exact G35 with all the options I want. Will i be able to get it on the same day? Or does everyone have to wait a few weeks? Just curious. (If this is a stupid question i'm sorry, Im new to the forum).

I did, but I did a lot of negotiating via the Internet prior to the drive up.
The entire transaction took less than 2 hours - from drive in to drive out, no problems. I shopped inventory online, asked pointed questions (mileage, receipt date, invoice, trade value of my car, etc) then drove up and closed the deal.
No regrets at all.

I bought off the lot, but only because the car was the EXACT car that I wanted. Right color, right options. Also, I got the price I wanted as well, after some fierce negotiation. I wanted certain color, price and option list and was prepared to order one or travel a few hours to get exactly that. It just made life easier when I found it locally.

Pretty much the same thing I did. I negotiated 99% of it all via email/internet. The only thing I "haggled" with was the the exact car I wanted was sold, but they had the one I wanted except it came with sirius. So I got that thrown in since they scewed the pooch.

I looked at the dealerships inventory online and found 2 that I wanted to compare. Called them up and they pulled them both out and parked them side by side for my comparison. I picked the one I wanted, test drove and bought it from the lot within about 3 hours (although I didn't pick it up until later that evening, so they had time to remove the protective sheets and detail it). VPP meant no price negotiation necessary

i was working sunday ... saw an add in the paper for an infiniti dealer. Called up and asked if they had a specific car in stock and if i could come and take a look at it.
As i was getting to the dealer, i saw a guy washing a car outside... same as i wanted it. Sales person goes thats yours. I was like ok.. but how do you know i was gonna take it today. He shruged. 2 hrs later... i drover home with it.
DAMN BASTARD saw it coming.
