Exclamation bad fuel efficiency

I have a '04 6mt and I get on average 15-16mpg mixed.

When the car was bone stock, I was getting around 18mpg mixed.

I have the UT Carbon Fiber Intake on there right now, and I'm getting worse
gas mileage. I don't know why, since having an intake should make the car
run leaner.

I only use 91 octane.

back from the dealer...they say its because of my pop charger and it is making the car run rich...102% and 107% above normal...is that really that bad? would the pop charger make me get 14mpg?

I have an 2004 Auto and do 95% city driving. I have 14,000 miles on my car. I have always averaged 11-14 mpg. I just learned to accept it, but it does su*k.

first tank of gas after 236 miles - 13.8MPG... I hope this will go up after 1,500 or so miles.

If you do a lot of city driving, then low mpg is nothing out of ordinary for our cars. But if you don't rev it over 2k like you say, then 12mpg is just too low... Take it into a dealer. Don't try to find comfort in someone who has similar mpg! At least get it checked and see if there is anything wrong.

my dealer is saying everything is within "specification". I have to bring it to another dealer but the nearest one is a little trip for me.

All I have is the JWT Pop Charger/Z Tube. I drive it normal, the flow of traffic. Once in awhile I may take it up to 4000 rpm, but that's rare. I drive it 20 miles a day (M-F) to and from Queens to Manhattan.

Just filled up for the third time since I bought the car. Total MPG for the car so far is 22 MPG (rounded up) over the first 800 miles.

If it goes up after break-in I will be a hppy camper, but I'm satisfied with 22.

About 60/40 highway-city this last tank.

I do a lot of city driving and if im lucky ill get 200 before the light goes on, when i bought the car i was told i would get 18, 5 mpg less is ridiculous, but what can i really do about it? I mean my car seems pretty responsive and able to compete so i dunno whats causing this really crappy gas mileage (Smoked my friends 330CI with performace package twice last night =p). I rarely use the freeways , its mostly all city driving but still 12 mpg for me too? thats just unacceptable.
