Mine is really bad too

pointman, i feel you. i have exactly the same problem. ever since i got my G the mpg only gets worse. 11~15 mpg. i used different ways to measure it too. i have the nav and i also used the triditional way. first i blame on the city drive i do most of time, but after a road trip i took about 1 month ago i gave up that thought. now i try to see if it's my driving habbit but i just gave up that idea after finishing one full tank driving like a grandma. i took it to the dealer after my 1st tank and i was told it's because it's still winter and gas in NY has ox.... added which cuts into the actual amount of consumable fuel in it. but now it's april. i'm goin back again to see what are they going to say this time.

I've officially given up the thought that driving slow will give me better mileage. I punched the car to 5000 at least 4-5 times last night during a drive and my mileage went from 11.7 to 13.5... (navi calculated of course) ... I'll report back with the traditional calculation once I start to run out of gas.

I know we all get pretty crappy gas milage but that seems horrible... I noticed when i fill up then jump on freeway ill get about 25 mpg... As soon as i do some city driving i see it jump alot.. Straight city will usually get me about 15 mpg.. An ave mix for me of freeway and city is 19 mpg... Even that is crappy. I have seen alot of G drivers post up here that they were getting like 23mpg mix... I dont see how.... I dont really drive the crap out of it the times i was gettin these mpg estimates... I know mines a 5AT but still.. There is too much deviation amongst some of us G owners in milage.. I think the dealer is screwing you... Cant u go to another dealer.. I know here in the Bay Area I have many many dealers I can go to... Wish ya luck.....

excellent milege

I beat the hell out of my car....I'm always cruising at 3500-4000 rpm....just to hear the exhaust....and I like being near the power band....anyhow my mileage is definately in the mid 20's on mixed driving....I think I get close to 30 on the highway....have an 04coupe 6mt...only mod is an injen intake.

I have an 04 AT coupe. 12k miles. When i drive it i drive hard. Every chance i get, step on it. I average 19.6 Mpg with a city, highway mix and pop charger and ztube. i use 93 octance. My light goes on at about 340-350 the earliest. I think you have a problem there obviously.

My 2005 6MT with 800 miles now is averaging 22 mpg mixed. Last tank was refilled at a little over 400 miles or so.

Three tanks in my new G and the average has been 22MPG. No poop. I drive easy, but it doesn't seem to matter about the mix - the second tank was almost all city and it only dropped a few points to the right of the decimal - nothing major.

Cars get realy poor mileage until they are warm, 12 miles or so I would think. When shifting my manaul I use 2K as my shift point and down shift at about 1.4.

I figure if I am getting over 25 on long trips then all is good and the rest must attribited to my driving. I won't check when I know it will be bad....

What you think are good driving habbits may not be. Tail gaiting causes many changes in acceration and additional braking, I use the 2 second rule to keep my diastance for smooth driving.

mileage

My 2005 AT gets between 13.5-14 mpg in city driving with 93 octane gas.

I have about 3500 miles on it now. The mileage has not gone up as the miles went by so far!

I also discussed this with my dealer's service people= seems normal!

I can not imagine it going up to 17 mpg after it breaks in?

I also drive an 04 6MT coupe and am getting these same results and sometimes I run the hell out of my G!

I traveled round trip from Houston to Orlando at better than 80MPH most of the time and averaged more than 24MPG on that trip.
