350Z seats in the G..Possible "safe" solution?

Hey guys!

I found some black seats from an 03 350 on ebay WITH side airbags..And they have no crap power buttons on the seat..Can I put these in my G and hook them up to the airbag stuff no worries?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...962503971&rd=1

Thanks a million guys!

Mike

i'll tell you one thing, it won't match your backseat. personally i'd stick with the infiniti seats. much nicer i think.

I am sure I could get them installed, I will just have to contact a Nissan tech to fins out if I will have issues with the airbags

I doubt that nissan is gonna tell you you will be ok with the airbag issue, even if they would work, then telling you that it would work would open them up to a huge liability.

Airbag deployment is designed around a specific interior - especially curtain. You can't just bolt different seats and airbags into your ride and expect them to perform as advertised.

Before I did anything I'd call my insurance company and find out what my liability would be in case I got into an accident. If you're injured, your insurance company could balk because you've modified your supplemental restraint system.

Just a thought.

I understand, but A) the side airbag is not a curtain and B) the interior, doors and seats of the G and 350 are essentially the same.

Also, any modification you make to a seat with a car under warranty will automactically void that specific warranty. It wouldent matter if I altered the seat controls, bracket or just switched the seat..same deal, VOID.

you actually have 2 side air bags. 1) Seat-mounted side-impact air bags-which deploy from the side of the front seats and 2) Roof-mounted side-impact air bags-which deploy from the ceiling.

dude, can I ask why you would think a cloth non power seat is nicer than your leather power seat? Am I missing something?

Yes your missing the fact that this is not for vanities sake..I find the stock leather seats in the G very uncomfortable, I need a seat that is comfortable.
