Well correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it that what they addressed on the '05 6MT? I only know of one person who took a 6MT to the track and their E/T made me laugh. I am yet to see a stock '05 6MT dyno chart. I wonder if the high end is any better at all.

I bet it is with the 298 HP... according to everything g35's website "This is the updated intake manifold collector off of the 2005 6mt (298HP) version of the VQ35DE motor. This part is redesigned from the standard 280hp motor version. The port design is different, Nissan moved the ports closer to the center of the plenum, and shortened them up a bit for better higher rpm power. This part will gain a few horsepower above 6000rpms"

BTW, we both have 4 people in our cars.
145 MPH On the street with 3 other people in each car. Do you think that might be a bit fast with other people in the car?
Street racing is a NO NO

He told me that the exit was comming up so without slowing down I crossed back over, got off the ramp and hit the beaks pretty dame hard to see how the car would react. Needless to say i think he SH*t himself. No need for the seat warmers. HEY at least he got the sale!!.

You took a new $35,000. car belonging to someone else for a test drive and drove 120 mph on public roads. To top that off you had a stranger in the car with you.

Why drive like that with on public roads with others in the car?

I hate the fact that it loses power... With my 03 maxima, I raced my friends TL Type S and the result was bad. I would do fine before 6000 rpm, but after that he would keep walking me... I will say that during the test drive, I loved taking turns into different streets because the turns were crisp due to the bottem end power...

Even considering this, I feel like the G is more of a high-revver just like a typical Japanese sports car. The G has great low-end torque and horsepower because of the big 3.5 liter V6, but I feel like the G really comes alive from about 3.5Krpm (right where the engine tone changes and you hear the exhaust note) and delivers pretty smooth power all the way to redline.

Its all good bro, as long as your posts arent half a$$ed and non explanatory, and you clearly tell me why you feel that way, I will respect it. Im just here to learn afterall..

Basically, even if you drive this car every day you shouldn't be disappointed with its performance even if surrounding competition seems pretty stiff.

It was pretty funny, but if I were the salesman, I would be very scared to go on my next test-drive with a customer.

That was also one of my major complaints a while ago on this board, even when my car was fully modded it still took a while to even get to 140, it was pretty bad! My M3's top end pulls to 155 with ease, that's all i had ***** enough to take it up to!

You've seen those 2 on the org right? Max hp as per Infiniti stats is @ 6,200 rpm (6,400 for 05 6MT). Not to disagree with you, but I don't see the loss of hp to be anywhere close to that of the Maxima after 5,700, or all that drastic at all. I agree with MrElussive that the VQ in the G is a high revving engine, my Maxima is nothing like it above 3.5k rpm.
