Here's what I've come up with so far:

Nismo has 1030kg clamping force, is a copper organic blend, has a flywheel about 8 lbs lighter than stock and is about 1000$ for the entire set up. May be quieter than JWT since it is not as light.

For me, I think it will be a decision between the Nismo and the ACT. I'm not all that interested in the potential noise of the JWT. The Nismo is expensive and I'm not all that sure that it will be much better than stock since it is a Nissan part.

I currently have the NISMO and can Attest to it's Durability over the Stock Nissan Clutch. I Fried my stock clutch running a NOS 100 Shot. The Fly wheel Glazed REAL bad, Also Tons of Dust. The Nismo Is Much Stiffer than Stock as Far as Clutch Pedal Pressure goes. But It More than Has enough Clamping force for My Application. I've Had a ACT Clutch before In My Prelude powered Civic with NOS 125 Shot. It was the 4 Puck with Heavy Duty Pressure plate. That was the Stiffest Clutch I've ever Felt. I always Had fun watching Valets Jump in start the car and Stall out. Well Good Luck Choosing a Clutch If you get a Chance at One of the G-35 Meets Maybe you could test drive Different G's with The Clutches you are Comparing.

Not necessarily. They'll examine the clutch to determine if there was abuse, and then make a decision. I'd estimate that the average clutch on a G35 will last at least 70K miles. When a clutch fails at 6700 miles it's either because of a mechanical defect or abuse. In either case it's easy to determine the cause after the clutch has been disassembled.

I had a friend whose M3 SMG clutch went bad within 10K miles and BMW did not cover the replacement under warranty. The BMW mechanic claimed that it was evident that the clutch was abused from using the launch control too frequently. My friend just skimmed through his owners manual, but there is a warning in the manual that frequent use of the launch control can cause premature wearing of the clutch.

BTW keep in mind that the dealer couldn't care less whether he gets his money from the company or from the customer. But the company must approve any warranty work, and so the dealer doesn't want to submit a warranty claim that's unlikely to be approved. Otherwise he does the work for free.
