New car, engine ticking??

I just drove my new g35c diamond/stone 6mt from california to las vegas. After showing the car to the family, i noticed the engine making ticking noises when i opened up the hood. Is this normal?? Any input would be great!! I'm getting scared already!

Well today I got home from an hour drive. I got out and also noticed a very slight ticking sound. *** Very Slight***. Most of my other cars did this to and they all seem to come from the air intake. I think it is normal. I would not stress unless it get very loud.

its pretty loud. I also noticed this on my other car (honda prelude) but it didnt happen until it was a month or so old. I guess it is normal. Maybe i can take a video clip of the engine...

Yes, its either your fuel injectors or a pump. Your just extremely sensitive about your new and expensive ride. Trust me, I do this every time I get a new ride.

if it's ticking after you turn off the engine, then it's metal cooling and contracting. nothing to worry about.

I have the ticking as well. Seems that it is quite normal, same with the clutch making the chattering noises.

I have about 5,600 mi. on my 6MT and just noticed a slight ticking coming from the engine. This worries me some. Evidently it is not unusual, though it does not seem "normal" to me. Has anyone found the source of the ticking or had the dealer look at their cars?

This is exactly what it is, don't worry about it for sure.
