tire size for 18's

what is the widest size tire i can put on my stock 18"x 8" rims without changing the ride height?....i currently have pilot sport 245-45-18 (rear) and 225-45-18 (front)

Which tires (front or back) affect the speedometer? Just curious - in any case, you need to pick tires that match the OEM specs for outside diameter within a few % to not mess up the VSD.

Seems the concensus here is 245/40/18 front, 255/45/18 rear. I'm also in the market and I'm considering the Goodyear F1 GS-D3...I've heard good things about this tire.
