Interior Wind

So guys,

What's the coupe feel like with the windows down at highway speed? Is it real windy or just a nice breeze? How about the sunroof? What about all of them?

I don't really plan to ride with the windows down much, but the weather has been so nice, I wouldn't be able to resist.

The barriers of human achievement lie only in the mind.

Re: Interior Wind

I can't say that I've had the windows down on the freeway, but I have had the sunroof open with speeds up to 80mph. There was little or no turbulence in the cabin at those speeds. The wind noise was also at a minimum. The cabin was much more composed than in my 330i coupe (which I replaced with the G).
In town, with the windows down, I felt no more turbulence than in any other vehicle I've owned. The only factor that would prompt me putting the windows back up would be the temperature. Plus, with the windows down and the stereo off, you're able to enjoy the terrific sounds coming from the exhausts.

Re: Interior Wind

I thought the noise was a little louder than I first expected...but still not loud. I just thought it would've been quieter than my old accord.

Windows up though, still amazed at how quiet it is, only got up to 110, but still sounded like it was going 65.

+1 the wind noise in both the coupe and the sedan is negligible compared to the 330ci

Wind/noise from the moonroof is minimal thanks to the built in air deflector.

Rolling down the windows does let in a good amount of air circulation, naturally, even at halfway down.
