Question New G35 from Dealer with 200 Miles on it?

I believe I can get a new 2005 6MT from a dealer with premium and navi for below invoice (no kidding). It has about 200 miles on it. The dealer says it's just been on a lot of test drives and has never been sold previously and was not a demo. Some folks on here have complained when they had 25 miles on their new G. Should I be concerned? Particularly paired with the low sales price?

Any advice would be appreciated as I'm concerned my price could be too good to be true. Am about to get financing in order today and need to make a quick decision.

considering the price and all... i would just make sure its never been in any kind of accident or had any damage done to it.

Otherwise, its still gonne be covered under warranty for 4 years so you should be ok.

Mine came with 11 miles on the speedo, but i ordered mine. If you're buying off the lot you have to expect theres gonne be miles on it.

You probably got it for under invoice because of the 200 miles on it... But its still a great deal. If you didn't get a good deal I would complain. I wouldn't worry about it, 200 miles is nothing you will put more on it in a few weeks and then it won't even be an afterthought...

just think of it as 200 fewer miles you have to worry about while breaking the car in! ...assuming you use the owners manual break-in method, but i think the jury is still out on whether or not a strict break-in process is really necessary or not.

I agree. The thing is under warranty anyways.

What is the price difference they are offering?

To play the devil's advocate, however, I think that you ought to consider what it would do to your monthly payment. If it only changes it by 20$, then, I would wait for a new one. If it is more than that, however, I say go for the one you are considering.

Since this car hit the market, the dealers have been getting well over invoice until recently from what I've read. If you can score one for under invoice, ****** it up, and quickly, especially loaded like the one you are talking about. I'm **** and would be concerned about the break in on the car but at less than invoice, that would be an offer I couldn't and wouldn't refuse. Like the other guys said, it's under warranty so don't have any fear! Post pics after you buy it, and I'm jealous of the price, damn!

My car had 90 on it when I got it. It's not considered a demo til it hits a thousand miles. Otherwise a dealer can still consider it new.....I know crazy....

You have several options. You can buy it, beat the heck out of it and be happy. This way if it breaks down the line you will not second guess your decision because you'll assume that you did the damage and not the 20+ other people who've already beaten on the car for you.

If you plan on following break in, forget about this great offer and work out a deal on a new G.

^ what he said....but don't beat it lol...it might actually last you. But yea...my concern is not that there is 200 miles on it, but how those miles were driven. But heck, for that price I'd jump. Make sure this car makes you happy though...color, options all. Sometimes a price can't be placed on happiness, but when its a G, you can.

I too am worried about how it was driven and the break-in period issues. The price is great, though. Hope I don't have to worry too much about it for 200 miles worth of driving. The good price does make me nervous, though. I keep asking myself what am I missing?

knowing how i test drove the dealer's g35 for the first time on the lot, i wouldn't buy one. I beat the crap out of it when it only had 100 miles. power shifting and all haha

i was the one who was concerned about the 25 miles but i ordered my car and it ended up being just a paperwork thing and it actually had only 11.. i cant speak for everyone but i know how i test drive cars and i know how salesman take cars out for lunch and crap.. and they and i both beat the **** out of it.. i mean i dont know.. if the deal is real good like you say than dont worry about it..

I've got more info. I'm told it was driven from another state in a dealer exchange of cars.

And I have agreed to purchase it. I've got another thread on that whole situation.
