What he said^^^, the interior is like night and day between '04 and the new '05 interior. All the alluminum is the real stuff no plastic I'd have to say thats a big improvement. Cant really argue with that. The materials are of much better quality and you can tell by just glimpsing at the console.

19" RacingHart C4 Wheels

Thanks! I'm not sure of the widths, but they are 19" diameter RacingHart C4s w/ Pirelli PZero Rossos. Tires are 275 in back..

ainsley - can you tell me what tint (brand and %) you have? I'm getting a black 6MT in the next month and I'm weighing the tinting options...

the REV light is a rev limiter indicator - the equivalent of the shift up arrow on american transmissions letting you know when to shift. you can use the little stick thingy to select it, and then hold down the stick to change when you want the light to appear. a little box under the REV light will appear when you are within 400-500 rpms of your rev limiter setting.

A,
How do you find the PZero Rossos compare with the Pilot Sports and, if you tried them, the RE 050s? I know of course there is a width difference, but... As well, what width did you use up front?

When the new G comes out in 2007 with a dramatic increase in horsepower, than I think we will all be upgrading and than we can all say that the 2007 is a much better car than the 03-06.
hmmm...sour grapes?

just curious..how much did the change cost you? Also, would you say the ride/noise levels have changed in the 05 coupe?

For me here in Ontario, Canada, depreciation after two years was low enough that I actually brought more equity to the second car than I did to the first. In Canada, we only pay sales tax on the amount over and above the trade, so I sold the car privately so as to max out the asking, but did what is called a "convenience trade"- essentially the dealer writes it up as though they bought it from me and sold it to my private buyer, so I save the tax on the amount my buyer pays. It was a bit of work, a bit of stress (the car sold once then the fella couldn't pay, sold again, but the guy was too slow in getting the cash together, then finally sold a third time (3rd time's a charm) for real, all in 2 weeks. Result: a reset on the time I'm paying, plus my monthlies are now 10% lower than they were before. And I won't need to buy new Pilot Sports this year, and all the other maintainence stuff that is now deferred 2 years down the road. And now I'm lined up to buy a 2007 GTR in 2009 (don't figure I'll be able to buy a brand new one, unless I win a lottery)

Not much of a difference? I beg to differ. There is a major difference in the trim level and the instrumentation from the 04 to the 05. It may not be as apparent in the pictures, but sit in both, or better yet drive both around for an hour or a week, and you'll see the difference.

I'll give you that they're both G's, which is great, but there are major upgrades to the 05.
