Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a used 2003 silver G35 coupe 6MT. The previous owner had kept it in very good condition except for a big stone chip on the front of the hood, right above the infiniti emblem. It's slightly dented inward and the paint has chipped off. Does anyone know if I can get it repaired locally around the affected area such that it can not be noticed after. Basically, is it possible for a shop to do such a good job that the repaired area will look as though it never was repaired? What about the paint? Will it match the original factory colour? Or will there be 2 shades of silver on the hood? If so, does anyone know a reputable shop around the Toronto area that can do it for a reasonable price? Thanks guys.

The previous owner already touched up the affected area, but it is noticeable especially after I wash the car. It bothers me ever time I look at it so i would like to get rid of it before summer. Does the hood have to be entirely repainted or can a repair body shop do it locally?

What type of touch up pen? Do you have any you would reccomend or something?

Just yesterday I noticed a very small chip and scratch leading up to it on the curved area over the wheel. Its extremely unnoticeable, expecially since its diamond graphite, but I would still like to touch it up. I never knew what everyone was talking about when they said how easily the paint really does chip until now.

I think he's referring to the dealership touch-up pen shown here http://www.courtesyparts.com/infiniti/paint.html
I've used the pen method followed up with some Langka to remove some of my stone chips and it's hardly noticeable now.
