I recently had a 2005 g35x while my car was being detailed and noticed it had a little handle in the trunk to pull on close it......the coupe does not have that feature....i hate closing my trunk and leaving fingerprints on it or the fear of scratching it all the time...


What/where are you grabbing the trunk to close it....i've been using the edge where the spoiler and trunk meet, so any scratching would be unnoticable, but it seems kinda askward....i wish there was a handle or even something aftermarket to assist...just a thought

 

I use the inside handle on my '05. it's pretty neat. all you do is grab a hold and pull down hard enough to pull your hand out and the trunk closes...no need to leave finger prints on the paint.

 

thanks, but the 05 coupe does not have the handle in the trunk, just the sedans do

 

With my coupe, I just use the Infiniti emblem to close the trunk.

Just make a fist and use the outside of it to push down on the trunk while standing towards the side of the car. I use a knuckle on the finger to close the doors while pushing on the rubber at the bottom of the window. No prints and no scratches with both of these closing techniques.

 

I leave the trunk open and drive normally, when i get to hwy speed, the wind closes the trunk for me... No smudgy fingerprints..

 

i put on a latex glove (similar to one used by OJ) and gently close the lid

 

i use my chin or my nose. if i have a hardon that time, i use my dick.

i think this is worst than the sunroof open or not thread.

 

And i use hot dog tongs to steer the car, so i dont get fingerprints on the steering wheel....

 

I climb in the trunk an pull it shut - then I squeeze my big azz through the "ski hole" and climb through the car with my dirty shoes on.

I use a ballpeen hammer to gently smash the trunk closed..It takes about 3 to 4 whacks if you do it carefully....

I use reins to steer just like those Santa uses and a whip to close the trunk.
