G35 Automatic 0-60
G35 Automatic 0-60
I know the time has been advertised as 6.0 seconds, but I was wondering if anyone has actually timed it. I am close to 1,200 miles, and haven't been able to take it above 4,000 RPM, yet.
Re: G35 Automatic 0-60
Those who have taken there coupe to the tracks know since it basically said on there time slip. (I think)
Better watch out cuz those G35 Sticker's commin out rummor around the forum says they might shave off a few seconds off that 0-60 ;-)

Re: G35 Automatic 0-60
I'd guess it's around 5.85 seconds. My GTech gave me 0-60 times in the 5.5 to 5.7 range, but it also gives me 1/4 mile times that average .3 seconds faster than my track times. On the other hand, it gives me 60 foot times that are .2 slower than what I get at the track, which covers more than a third of the 0-60 mph time. So taking that all into consideration, I'd estimate it's around 5.85, but I wouldn't testify to it in court.

I love to torque-brake my AT. I'd almost think that you could take a MT off the line. At lease up to the first shift.

Sorry, but what is a torque-brake?

Actually it's most commonly known as “Power Braking” this is when you hold the brakes and apply gas at the same time to bring the revs up closer to the engines peak torque so the car can launch faster from a standstill position. But this is something that you should not do everyday to the AT tranny.

I think most of the mags '*****' the cars when they test them.
I doubt very much that they would 'torque brake' them out of the hole.
I would think the A/T Coupe could knock off 6 second 0-60's.

Re: G35 Automatic 0-60
I just got back from running some 0-60's with my G35 Coupe and my parents G35 Sedan using a stop watch. Launching the sedan (with 1,200 miles on the clock) around 1800 rpms and manual shifting the automatic at 6100 rpms, the sedan recorded 6.43 sec. Launching the coupe (with 1,600 miles on the clock) at 2200 rpms and manual shifting the automatic at 6100 rpms recorded 6.51 sec. The sedan is good, very good.
