Unfortunately I have not driven the car with the TT yet. I bought a vortech 1 month ago and dynoed at 380rwhp on a dyno jet. Less than 1500 miles later I decided I wanted more power. The car is in the shop right now for the tt install. I am hoping to have it back by Friday. I will post a bunch of pictures and the new dyno when I get the car back.

If you haven't heard the BOSE system first hand, then don't knock it. I think its OK. It does the job. Of course it's not an upgraded $2K dollar system, but it sounds good to me. Also, drive the car first before saying you want to change this or that. I've been through a lot of hard earned cars, and this one has been great to me for the last week. Take care of it, don't be stupid and most importantly thank your father a million times for it.

B/t/w- I'm 21 going on 22.

Thats a good point, dont be stupid, theres a button that takes the vdc off. Keep that on for a while, but then again make sure you try to see the limit of the car, into turns i mean so you can see when it will lose it, try it at an empty parking lot or some place where no one can see you. I think everyone should know what their car can do, so you dont end up in a ditch accidently.

20's are way too big unless you are only into cruising slow, watching for every pot hole, and taking corners carefully so that the wheels don't rub. If you get 20's, then you'll probably have to lower it because the gap will be accentuated. 20's + lowered = lower sport driving. More looks, yes, but this is a GT car.

Ok seriously this is last post for tonight lol I always end up falling asleep in class due to lack of sleep. How long you think it would take for me to learn how to drive this car good with low driving experience? Don't crack on me =( everyone starts some where. I'm just trying to improve on myself. Well goodnight fellow g members

It should take about a month to get used to driving a stick. Hopefully your area is a bit hilly so you'll get a chance to get practice on the more difficult roads. Watch out for rolling back when you're facing uphill. When in doubt use the e-brake and stop yourself. On my first stick shift when facing an uphill red light I'd always keep the e-brake on, make sure the clutch had caught a bit, then let the e-brake down. That way I wasn't going to be a putz and roll back into the guy behind me. It's probably not good on the clutch and brakes but that's fine. Better to repair those then have a wreck.

OH yeah, and you're still going to wreck it but that's ok... That's what insurance is for ...

I know what I'd like as a first mod, new parents. My parents never gave me chit when I was your age, not even a card for graduation

I really don't think its such a big problem for parents buying kids nice cars. It happens all the time.. i believe there was even a thread related just on this (the age thread?) and if they are fortunate enough (like me) to have parents buy them their car, then that is good for them. The only thing I find ridiculous is if parents start shelling out tons of money on mods on top of buying them the car.. then that is quite spoiled :P Well, getting a car like this is pretty spoiled to me. Anyways I think its appropriate for parents to be buying cars for their children so long as they dont go over the limit. At least pay for your own mods after receiving such a gift from ur parents instead of using them some more! But I noticed that u saved up ur own 5gs so that is good.. go get a job and then mod more.

And if I were you, I would check out the modification reviews section.. then u will get a better feel of all the products out there.... https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-drivetrain-forced-induction-19/

derrtynat

Id reccommend getting an auto if its gonna be your first car, i had to beg my parents to buy me one, and after constant nagging they gave in and finally bought me one for my 17th birthday. derrtynat, make sure not to get manual because im having enough trouble as it is trying not to go fast in it and trying to go easy on the gas, this is my second car and i am having these problems, imagine if you had a stick, well in the end its all up to you whether you get an auto or manual. Just my $0.02

btw
imalazeeass, you made a good point, im gonna get a job and get me some mods.
