Every timed I used to accelerate hard....I would always crunch my way into 2nd gear...I changed the gear oil to mobil 1 synthetic 75w-90...now I'm snatching 2nd gear at 6800 rpms smoothly with out even pressing the clutch all the way in.

 

Its been my experience that by simply changing the transmission oil with fresh factory oil will give the same results.
