disappoint of basic speakers

I had my G coupe 2 months ago, now start to disappoint of the stock speaker. Everyting is so fine but just the stock speaker bother me a lot, the two tweeter is so noisy and sound like a horn type thing, the other two in the back is just a piece of sh! sound no bass at all.

I am going to change em all by myself, if any of you have experienrce on that, pls pass me one. Appeciated!

i'm not that impressed w/them either (they don't suck, but could be nicer). when you do replace yours, can you post what you replaced them with, and how difficult/easy it was? thanks.

Re: disappoint of basic speakers

If you change the speakers, you will most likely have to change the amp as well. This is because the impedance of the Bose speakers is 1 ohm, and aftermarket speakers are usually 4 ohms.

Re: disappoint of basic speakers

Gotta tell you; I had a Bose special as a factory upgrade in another car (don't hate me, Corvette). Really "ugh" sound and I hardly ever listen to tunes in the car, only on long trips.

This one, with my same cd's from my Lexus, sounds about as awful as the other Bose system I had. It almost makes me not want to play them at all, they sound that poor.

I can't believe this is a 220 watt system and it's an upgrade to the stock system----what the hell/how bad does the stock system sound? This is bad, stock must be awful. If I even listened more often to tunes, I'd change it out tout de suite (oops, that's unpopular French for immediately).

It's gotta be easier for car companies to buy decent systems. The stock Lex system, no upgrade at all, was incredible. After listening to the stock and the more expensive brand, I'd never bother to upgrade even if it was 500 bucks or less (which it isn't).

Oh shucks, just venting. It's still a pretty new great car. I just listen to talk radio. Maybe I'll get an exhaust system to drown it out. hMMM.
