My dealer gives loaners by reservation. Sometimes it takes a day, or sometimes a week to have a day with a loaner. This has not been a problem and it is usually just for an oil change. I have even gotten them when my car was well out of warranty (up to about 6 years old with my previous I30).

Test drives-they always make a copy of my license, even when they know me, including my Infiniti dealer (and I am over 21-by almost 40 years!). This is probably a State or insurance regulation. I don't have a problem with that. I never got to take my Subaru out alone, or on a highway, before I bought it. At Infiniti, where I've bought two others, they told me to have a nice drive.

In 1991 I looked at a G20 on a Friday night. The salesman said he was worried about me driving home in my Mitsu. Galant with a bad bearing or axle and insisted I try out the G20 over the weekend. I bought one (not the same car-wrong color) from him.
