I need input-used 03 coupe or new 05

I need some feedback. I like the idea of brand new never driven w/ new car scent, however, wallet likes the idea of used, same body style, already depreciated, still lookin' sharp. My g will be a 6spd w/sport pkg and navigation. Is there anything I'll be missing out on if I go 03?

yah
you will be missing out on a lot of things that have been improved for the 05 models. They are not really major things but just some creature comforts. Like for example the lights on the steering wheel controls light up in the o5 and the interior is crap in the 03's, the whole interior is soooooooooo much better in the 05 over the 13, plus the quality of the products used are ALOT better, the metal is actually metal this time. Id say go for the 05 because in the end you will have less problems because they have had 2 years to fix the little problems on the 03. Plus the 03 was the first time the G was made, if i were you i would think twice before getting a first model car. Well i hope all goes well. (PM me if you need some more help)

My coupe is an 03 and i can agree with all the things you mentioned...

But one thing.

All you 05 owners HAVE to be wishing your ride came with the BREMBO'S haha.

I had an 04 Black 6spd, R.I.P. I have an 05 Ivory Pearl 6spd, and it's so much better. I've gotten so many compliments already than I had for a full year of having the 04. The new guages are hot, shifting is so smooth, the clock and rest of the dash is clean, and the ride feels more comfortable with the 19's and sport tuned suspension.

Those Brembo's weren't all that anway. You can keep your dust makers, while a nice set of Stoptech's or Rotora's will look even better.

Don't forget that the CD CHANGER can play mp3s!
700mb times 6 CDs is the equivalent of a ipod mini!

Depending on where you live, you might be able to get a 2005 for near the price of a 2003. Where do you live?

Get the '05 no doubt about it.
-No miles
-whole lot less rattles
-better quality seats and materials
-bigger brakes
-more horsepower
-better interior finish
-yeah brembos are nice until you have to replace those suckers, and oh less brake dust on '05s

new is better because you don't know how the used one was treated.....however don't be supprised if the 03 is quicker....that 18 + hp and -10 torque...yeilded no benefit in terms of quickness......al tests (so far indicate the car is a little slower).

I bought an 03 w/32k....very well cared for....no rattles, no damage other than a few rock chips on the ft bumper, new tires, shifts smooth, garaged (no tree trash in the hood and trunk jambs), brake pads look new, interior flawless minus a peeling shift pattern plate on the ****, 6MT with navigation for $28.5....

I say go with an 05 if you can....I just couldn't....so I found the best deal (IMO) out there after looking for 3 months.....brembos are real dusty....and the 05 19"s are way better than the 03-04 18's....

my only advice on an 03 would be, make sure it has a later production date...like 02/03 and up....those are the 2003.5 models and not to worry about the "first year model" stigma...on some of the first ones built, there were oil consumption problems as well as other issues.....

good luck....and be sure to post the pics of whichever car you do buy....
