Tint Experts!

For all you tint experts out there, I need your opinion. The choice is between Llumar High Performance vs. Madico. I know they are both pretty good but which would you choose? I know the Madico tints tend to be a little green in color. I was offered the same price by two different places. Any suggestions?

Madico is not only green, but I heard can mess with navi/satellite because its metalic based? I may be wrong. I have Llumar all around.

Let's get back to the topic..

I've been trying to find out as much as I can the difference between Solar Gard, Llumar and Madico tints.. it seems like none of the shops around Long Island NY use Madico as far as I know, and most shops use Solar Gard or Llumar or both. Can anyone inform us about the differences between these films?

wireless signal distortion could happen if you use a metallized film.............all film manufacturers carry a metallized and non-metallized line of films for this reason. As for differences between films, it comes down to clarity in the adhesives and heat rejection. We prefer to use Madico because, in our opinion, they have the clearest adhesives on the mkt. All of the films listed above would do fine and are excellent products.

what are the benefits of non metallic over metallic? I have navigation in my car and I've heard metallic is better for heat reduction and less likely to bubble/crack/fade but i dont know what effects it will have on the nav.

Unless you are planning on tinting the front windshield you shouldn't have a problem with the NAV system as the antenna is located in the front dash somewhere around between the steering wheel and the HVAC display.

I have heard conflicting stories about the mettalized film disrupting signals. Is this true or is it just hear say??
