In 05 G's the aluminum is real;On the other hand, 03-04 are plastic

 

I haven't seen the metal dash area in person yet, but I did see the wood in person, so I can't say I don't like the metal from experience. If given the choice of plastic (what I have now) or this wood, I would take the wood (wouldn't I?-couldn't resist the sound of all the -oods; sorry).

I've even thought of getting a wood overlay kit for part of the interior to make it feel warmer. I've read threads on this, but does anyone have comments or experiences with the kits?
