So I go for the "break in" oil change swap out at 1680 K
and I drop er off,

I was coping, but, knowin someone was gonna be drivin my car wasn't sittin too well for some reason...

So, I go drop it off and (ALTA) and they had to take it over to the Nissan dealership across the street .... Literally like 500 meters (nav talkin) away .....

I left it with them for some time and came back ... to my car with almost no gas and almost 30K more on it then when I dropped it off.

WTF?

Whats even worse is second feels a wee bit notchier or bumpier BUT the car seems to get up into the higher revs easier now, but it doesnt feel as if I am going that fast ... ??? not that thats a bad thing, but it doesnt feel as ... hmmm how to word it ... SOLID ..
it feels a little softer all over now... I dunno... I dont think I like it ...it feels spongier ?!?!?

So, somebody must went for a helluva good beatin for 30 some odd k on my car and I haven't taken it above 4 K !!!!

They may used your car as a demo car....
Last time I went to Alta to price shopping, there is no demo 5AT Coupe. And the saleswoman found a new coupe(just tinted, added spoiler, 23km odo) for me to test drive.....and I don't think that coupe should be a demo car though....

 

Gee, while reading the post initially, I thought that the dealer put on 30,000 km on the car while you had service done![img]/w3timages/icons/blush.gif[/img]

But even 30 km is a bit excessive. I'd speak with the service manager for an explanation.

By the way its not just you who feels that way after break-in, i felt the same thing in my car, 2nd is the most notchy and bumpy gear, but overall the car is smoother so you dont feel as much of a violent push

Uhhh no sythentic ... I'll go the mobile 1 route after they change out the filter...they just swapped the oil, left the filter etc ... but I'm sure you knew that.

dude why didnt you change the filter?
I changed mine at 1400 w/ synthetic... i heard that your supposed to change the filter too because of the metal deposits that will get stuck in there from the engine's break-in

When you change the oil you should have the filter changed as well, like Rambo said, the contaminants in the filter can get into the new oil, thus making it a waste of time and money. Which dealer would do this? Are they stupid, lazy or both?[img]/w3timages/icons/mad.gif[/img] Then they put 30 on your car.......Hmmmmmh, makes you think again on taking your "G" back there.
