Do you have the 2005? Have you tried pulling the lever AND push the back of the seat forward?

I had the same problem in my 2003. During the first year I had it, the seat would move in fits and starts, and then it stopped working altogether. Mysteriously, it started working again a month or so later, and it hasn't failed since. It's probably a loose connector to the motor. Try calling the dealership and asking one of their tech guys - I'm sure there's been others with the same problem.

do u mean the backrest tilting forward or the whole seat moving forward? i noticed on my '05 that sometimes when i pull either the side or back handle the backrest doesn't move forward. if i fiddle around with it a bit and put slight pressure on the backrest it then releases and tilts forward. then i press the seat forward button and the whole seat moves forward via the power motor.

put the parking brake on and your problem should go away.
