my fronts look fine after 11000 miles. the rears look like they'll last through this summer and thats about it. i don't romp on the gas or drive too hard, is this still about right?

22K and could go for a few thousand more. Just a bit of tread left.

just passed 20k mile mark, although i bought the car with 15k miles. the previous owner was over 70 yrs old and did NOT drive fast, from what i gather. anyhoo, the fronts have quite a bit of tread left, maybe 2-3k miles left. the rears were a bit bald when i bought the car last sept, and they will have to be replaced this summer.

I drive fairly conservatively, so when my Coupe was sold, it had about 14k miles on the Pilots, which still had 6-7/32nds. left.
So at that rate they should last to about 28-30k miles if allowed to wear down to 2-3/32nds.

Does anyone know why we don't get the tire feathering issue that the Z's get?

Longer wheel base on the G35, it helps again the feathering (actually it is cuping)

I have 30k on my coupe and the rear's still have some rubber left. I'm surprised that I've driven this much and still have decent tread left. Btw, my driving habits are usually fairly normal with few spurts of aggressive driving. The fronts still have about 40% left on them. =)

My rear tires are well over due to be replaced too, car has approx. 26k miles on it, fronts tires still looks good though? Infiniti Dealership in my area is asking for $630 for both rear tires (OEM Pilots) installed then another $120 for alingment, OUCH!!! Maybe, I'll go with Toyo or something elso next.

You can absolutely get cupping with the Pilots. My coupe started making a sh**load of noise below 20mph, a thumping vibration I could feel through the wheel and the gas pedel. I took it to the Infiniti dealer in Austin, and they told me it was "normal" wear & tear for a tire that can't be rotated (did I mention that I only had 7k miles on the car?) I cried BS but what could I do. Called and talked to Michelin- they said BS those tires shouldn't wear out or feather in 7k miles and they said it was an alignment problem. Back to Infiniti- told them it was an alignment problem and they need to fix it and replace the tires. They said nope- it's a problem with the tires. Make a long story short, I don't have time for this much drama in my life and my $38,000 car felt like I was driving a dump truck. I said F**k it and traded it in on an '05 Nissan Frontier CC/Nismo. Great truck- same VQ engine just punched out to 4.0 and NO unidirectional tires! Was it the tires or the alignment on the coupe-- who knows. BTW I'm almost 50 and drove it like the old guy that I am (well... mostly...) Sorry for the rant.

19K and the front are like new; the rear are toast!
Am looking hard at replacing them with one of these with same size for now:
http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/bfgap...forcetakdw.jsp
or
http://www.yokohamatire.com/TireIntro.asp?TireID=9

I've always run Nitto or Yokohama and love them both, the Yoko's last longer, the Nitto's grip like no other, but wear like these Michelin's did. I have the BFGoodrich GForce TA tires on my Stratus and they are sweet so I am considering them for the G also.
