Brakes, saved the G.

Driving 70 down a secluded road I see a whitetail deer on the side of the road the foot comes off the accelerator and he decides that this is a good time to run accross the road.

I put my foot all the way to the floor... ABS kicked in, VDC held me on the road, and we stopped WAY short of the deer. The G saved the G. In any other car I have had we would have smoked the deer. The Eclipse, light damage, the prelude, bad damage, my avalanche... lots of blood, but not the G. No damage, no control loss under hard braking, no nothing except super hard stopping power.

Glad to hear that worked out well... The very first week of driving my G, while driving down the service road on I45 S. Houston, doing about 55MPH; a lady turned from a side street right in front of me, (I MEAN RIGHT DAMN IN FRONT OF ME) never even looked, talking on a cellphone... Not only did the G save me from the accident, but it probably saved her life; she was in a Neon and i'm sure if I was still driving my Stratus I would have run right over her dumb ****!

I love my Brembo's!!!

I yelled at her too; she never noticed; was still talking on the cellphone, completely oblivious to what just almost happened. Gotta' say it like my homeboy "some people just be trippin".

Go figure... LOL

It stopped hard. I was pumped, my wife was freaking out... remember, it is her car. It went 70 - 0... wow it was fast. Saved the car. Maybe I should have just hit it though, would have been able to get the paint chips fixed on the insurance claim.

So you have an '03-'04 with Brembos or an '05 w/o?

Amen on the paint chips!
I should of had the front end clear guarded when I bought the car; I regret that. It will be going to V&V soon to have the hood, bumper etc. repained then they will keep it a week for proper curing and then clear guard most of the front. I drive the G nearly everyday and even though I am carefull and never follow close, sh*t flies around on the freeway and sometimes I can hear it hitting; it hurts. Chips are already there so it's no use to clear guard now until they are all fixed.

I have an '03 without Brembo's. Gotta say, don't know that there is that much difference between the w or w/o's. The Brembo's are 4 piston brakes right?
