It will continue to be unheard of until you actually pick up your car. I'm not familiar with coupe or SoCal pricing, but if everyone thinks your price is very low, be careful. Did the sales manager sign your order as well as the sales person? Most contracts say that if the manager (or equivalent) didn't sign it, it isn't valid, and they may or may not honor it. This happened to me with my first car purchase (age 25-Fiat 124 Spyder)-I ended up paying more than I expected. There was a 3-4 month wait for shipments and few dealers, so I took the car.

Save your e-mails and other papers. I don't want to sound like a pessimist, but there are "problems" with sales people. Maybe they were mistaken, rather than devious with your concerns. But, for example, I believe the splash guards are a dealer installable item. In fact, Infiniti's site lists them as an accessory and says no drilling is required, so there should be no problem getting them.

Let us know what happens-and good luck!

Well, after this has happened i have become very wary. My order does not have the quoted price on it, it only shows the MSRP price. However they have given me the VIN of the vehicle.

I also went ahead and printed out all the emails between myself and the sales rep. i was quoted 37.6 out the door. I'm not sure if they are bound to honor that or anything.. but i put my deposit down in good faith on that specific price which i have a record of being quoted...

But i am wary.. very wary.

Maybe they will be willing to write up an order with the price and the correct signature. If they are being straightforward they should have no problem doing this. If they won't, you might want to look around. When you gave the deposit, did they give you a receipt, or is that the paper you referred to in the first paragraph above? Have you dealt with this dealer before? Are they ususally good to their customers?

Well i've heard a number of mixed opinions about MV infiniti on this board... But this is my first experience with this dealership.

There's no reciept as i left the deposit with my credit card over the phone. They didnt actually give me a paper. He had some type of order form that he copied and pasted into an email he had sent me. It basically includes the car, options, vin, dealership that ordered it, order number, and MSRP of the car with the breakdown of the options.

Below is basically what was copied and pasted to me.. I am very wary but i guess i will find out in two weeks weather or not it is for real. I do have it in email from my sales rep for 37.6K out the door. Besides that there's no other paper work. But if they do not honor this quote i will definately let them know that corporate, bbb.org, and every website and person that i know interested in buying a G is going to hear it from me...

I did get another call from Costa Mesa Infiniti today and apparently they have the car in stock. I told them that if they can match the price, the car would be sold. After this experience with MV infiniti, if anybody matches their price i'll take my deposit back in a heartbeat.

I bought my car at Mission Viejo Infiniti. It took some work to get the car and price i wanted. All in All they were great people. I hope it all works out for you.

Well, i'm glad to be reassured by someone who has had a good experience there. As of now i am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they really were trying to do me a favor by getting me a car sooner... but in the back of my head i know its still bull****.. who would really want a car with 250 miles on it when they can wait 3 weeks to get one with 7 miles on it?? Either way...

They've given me a price that I want.. i just hope they will honor it..

Andy your suggestion is good, except to make it out to the dealership is actually quite a trek for me (30 minutes with no traffic) to get them to sign something in paper. I figure either theyre goign to give me the price they quoted or not regardless so...

A G seat fit in your trunk? I can't ever seem to fit anything larger than a pack of gum in there.
