Sorry guys, I had to do this real quick...leaving the office right now, so I apologize for not doing a search. When does the '05 stop producing and they start bringing in the 06's??

Probably at YO 05, the 05's where made around YO 04, so that would be my guess.

 

usually it's anywhere from June to August that the new production year starts...

if you have to get in july or august, i'd rather wait til 06 comes out.
i dont see any point of getting 05 G in those 2 months just my 2c.

 

I asked my dealer to put me in as the first batch of 06' comes along. He says the first batch will be arriving in around mid-september. So I guess you could do the figuring.

This has already begun. Retooling a plant for production can take 2-4weeks. However in Japan life is a bit more optimized. The are possbily retooling a number of machines, given that 06 wont change much. Just tweaks. My advice buy a place holder, certified 04 G35 and save that cash for the 07'. Luckly I have my 04 purchased at the end of 04. Right on time for 07' However I may go for the new M3, S4, or a something else.

 

Only reason I'm not ordering before July/August is because my house is currently being built and is planned to be finished at end of July or beginning of August...I'm waiting to close on the house before getting the car because I would like a garage and being homeless for the past year and a half, having a car parked in the street or parking lot is not an ideal location for a new car (especially when I'm gone during the weekdays). I can only focus on one thing at a time Too many things I'm involved in with this new home build...and the reason I'm looking at '05 is because I really don't think the '06 will be much of a change and I figure I can get a better deal on an '05.
