I just hope my order is a Q order. I should get my order number tomorrow, I didnt ask for it yet. Then I just have to wait for it to get to the east coast. All this waiting is killing me...

For anyone with an F order and living near the Jersey shore, the boat has arrived. I talk to my dealer and he said it's in port and just waiting to get loaded on a truck and brought to me!!! I can't wait!!

Yes, some of the Q's are here, but only the west coast Q's

The first batch of east coast Q's are probably 2 weeks behind. All of the Q orders should be built by now. R orders start production June 1st.

As for VIN's, your VIN is available when the car is in transit, usually 2 weeks or more from port.

Your R order could arrive as early as late June, assuming it completed by mid June.

I just found out that my car has a VIN and it is on a boat. I am in Boston with a Q order.

This is much earlier than expected. I am hoping this means it will get to me in 2-3 weeks! Holy s$@t I may be driving my coupe soon.

 

Well I got my VIN number this morning (JNKCV54E13M216050). Looks like mine was not one that came in on the boat in cali. I was told mine is coming at the port in elizabeth NJ. So once it gets there its only a few days at most before I get it!! Does anyone know when these orders are coming in?

 

It takes about 2 weeks longer to ship from Japan to the east coast. I dont expect my Q order to arrive until mid to late June.

But, I hope I'm wrong.

So I take it the orders aren't alphabetic. Since Q orders have already hit port. J is before Q(not trying to sound like a smart@ss)... When is my baby going to get here... :-(

 

VIN numbers ALL start with a J. Your order number is completely different than your VIN#. Get your order# from the dealer and then you'll have a more accurate timeframe when you can receive your car

J is your VIN, Q is your order number. Your comparing apples and oranges.

If you have a VIN your car is at sea. Just cause the boats have docked in LA doesnt mean the east coast shipments are right behind. The boat could take up to two weeks longer cause is has to go through the panama canal, thru the caribbean and up the east coast.

Hmm....I GOT A VIN!!! hohoho!

I called yesterday to ask for my VIN... "oh we don't have any numbers yet, sorry." Numbers? What bout letters? Anyway, that was after a week earlier I was told that the VINS should arrive next morning. ( I forgot to call the next morning)

I came in today and got my VIN face to face.

Some people are so lazy....blah....I bet that guy over the phone didn't even do anything.

Do all of the Q orders for the west coast come on one boat? Or are there several boats one after another? I guess I'll have to call my dealer and get an ETA. Mine is a Q order with Riverside, CA. It doesn't have to go very far once it gets off the boat! Too bad I couldn't pick it up from the ship myself - I'm closer to Long Beach than I am to Riverside

i got a call on saturday that the boat hit port and that mines was one of them. i get the car monday or tuesday.
