So the if the ECU adapts to my driving habits, does that mean that i need to drive it like i stole it to keep my car running top notch? like to keep it from shifting slowly?

This is how my G behaves... I usually just cruise around easy and get great mileage so things are working well, but the very first time I run it hard it seems it does not produce all the power it can; but something happens after that first hard run, the car immediately feels very much more powerful and I am sure it is... It's like it changes modes or something; like its saying "OK were gonna' drive hard now, let's go"... It will run like mad until I start to cruise again and after a few minutes, its back to saving fuel...

Anyone else experience this?

I'm close to 20,000 miles now and it has behaved this way since about 1500 miles. I have never reset the ECU and will not as long as it behaves this way or until the FI is installed. I am averaging 24MPG during the week (work & back) and about 18 on the weekends (yeah, I have more fun on the weekends)
