Lease or Buy a coupe
Just curious as to peoples opinions. I leased my current car 3 yaers ago because I didn't have a lot of cash to put down and I wanted a low monthly payment. It's worked out well. I like to change cars every couple of years, I can keep the miles low and I'm resigned to the fact I will always have a car payment. Perfect lease candidate.
What prompted this post is the fact that the average leases people ar posting about seem to be 500-1000 dollars down and 600 a month. Seems to me you could buy ($35,000) for 700 a month with $0 down. In the overall scheme of things, wouldn't this be a wiser choice? I know there are variables and peoples situations differ....I guess I'd like to hear other peoples thoughts on this.
Thanks and sorry about the long post!

Re: Lease or Buy a coupe
The only problem with leasing right now is that the residual you pay at the end of a lease is god awful. However, you can gamble and hope when your lease is up that the value of your car will remain high (with a better economy then), so therefore you'll have some equity in it to trade it in with. Personally, I leased and I'm in the same area as everyone else as far as payments. Although, when my lease is up, I'll probably get another G35 coupe since it's soooo much better than my bimmer!
