hey so how do you torque brake on an AT? wuts that? sorry im a newbie.. oh and why do peplpe turn off their VCD?

Introduce yourself to the search key my friend, and a newbie you will be no more.

Torque braking is done by pressing the brake pedal (briefly) and the gas simultaneously to allow the car to build revs (and thus power) before launch. If overdone you will fill the area immediately around your car with the aroma of baked rubber and tire smoke.

VDC can be found in your owners manual. Read about it and it will become clear what effect turning it off will have. In a nutshell, defeating VDC will allow wheelspin which will let you get your car 'out of the hole' faster. If done correctly that is. If wheelspin is done incorrectly you'll end up going around in circles in smoky, smelly bliss.
