I got 4.99 with infiniti. The lower rates some of you guys got, did you think about how the extended time frame would work against you. Well if no one did not at least if you pay off the car early there is no prepayment penalty. I got an 04 from lynnes. for 60 months. But there are ways to use balance transfer checks with 0apr for like a year to take advantage of the cost savings. I will be doing this pretty soon.

I got 2.9, why are you guys paying so much? I did get a left-over '04, however.

That's why, you got a "leftover" as you said. They had special rates on the 04's coupes. And yes I thought about the longer term, but I usually don't keep a car for more the 2-3 years. The value of this car should be great enough that when I sell this car I won't be in the negative.

Yep, 2 weeks ago as well. The finance guy said that rates had been creeping up steadily. This probably explains some of the lower rates earlier in the thread.

2005 6MT Coupe, 4.25% for 60 months. Bought this month. Zero down and I have stellar credit.

I had 4.54% through my credit union and the dealer found a credit union they deal with with the lower rate.

Purchased at Infiniti of Thousand Oaks.

Lots of interesting info here. Thanks to all who responded.

My next question would be those that are getting them for $500-$1000 over invoice. Are you going through Infiniti financing or through a 3rd party? I would imagine they would be more willing to let it go for a little above invoice as long as they are getting the interest on the financing.

I negotiated price before financing was discussed. I got them to sell it for a grand over invoice. This was for a car that was on the lot.

After that I was going to finance with my credit union as I did not expect the dealer to find a better rate. But they did so I went with the credit union they found for me. I am sure they made money off the financing. But I got the better rate so I didn't care.

To be clear, this was not "Infiniti financing" but a third party credit union I am sure they have a deal with.

2.9% through in Infiniti for 60 months. It is a no brainer. Obviously if you dont have excellent credit you wont get this rate, but if you can it is a must. Save you thousands of dollars as oppose to getting 6-7%.
