A real Skyline...

Here are some pictures of my 2004 6MT Skyline coupe

Personally, I prefer the Infiniti front grill... oh well, the grass is always greener on the other side.

Is it just me, or do most Skylines come without the rear spoiler and splashguards? Everytime I look at the Japanese site or any Skyline pics for that matter, they don't have them. It made me think that the spoiler and SG are more common in the US, but what do I know..

What a beauty, post some pics of the interior too

I think that Nissan logo looks horrible - it ruins the look for me.

Also, I would not have paid 40K for a Nissan in the USA. While I realize Infiniti is a marketing brand of Nissan Motors, it has a perceived quality and status in America that Nissan does not approach. I would not believe most of the people here if they told me they did not value the perception of the Infiniti brand when shopping for a new car, otherwise they could have gone for a crap Subaru or Mitsubishi, or modded some other lesser Japanese car.

And as far as rebadging goes.....

Well.. from what i can gather.. all you care about is the name brand then? Essentially, you would rather wear a 100 dollar gucci t-shirt than a 2 dollar fruit of the loom t-shirt if they were both just plain white.

If nissan sold this car and it were exactly the same as it is now? I would have still bought it.. and honestly speaking, i think MOST people here would also. Only those that are attracted to name brands would not. But then that just becomes materialistic and superficial doesnt iT? Think about the number of people that rebadge their infinitis to skylines?

I would definetally have bought the car even if it was a nissan. The main advantage of having it as an Infiniti in my eyes is the warrenty and the way the sales/service takes care of you much better.

OMG...that Nissan logo is horrible...I am glad you pointed that out...because I almost went and bought a $75,000 Honda NSX...now I can look for an Acura NSX instead. Whew!
