I would agree. As a former Director of Ship Silencing (SEA-55N) for the Naval Sea Systems Command I find your project intriguing!

That said, my hearing is shot and I'm not sure such an effort would help in my case.

I hope the OP will post his final results when his airborne noise quieting effort is complete.

I will be curious to hear the time required also.

I did mine in pieces tp reduce down time, and break the project up since I normally can't spend days and days on something.

I did the Trunck one afternoon - 2 hrs
I did under the back seat one afternoon maybe - 2 hours
I stripped the interior and did the floor, rear side panels, etc... 16 hrs
still have to do the doors...
still have to do the hood liner and some areas of the engine compartment

Verify that, and then use it as a guide MAKING VERY SURE you have it right before applying power.
I'm slightly worried about getting this stupid connector put back right. The colors on either side of the connector do not match. I am studying the schematics and that should help. Thankfully, I have a "before" picture that will give me more clues.

Maybe I should take an extended test drive on a dealer demo for an afternoon and look under the passenger seat...
