Dealer sold me "damaged" car as NEW!! HELP!!

I purchased a brand new IP 05 6MT coupe about a month ago. Today, my friend is staring at my car and notices that the rear bumper is a different color than the rest of the car
I had not noticed this because I never really stared at all the body parts to see if the paint matched on a brand new car!!
The difference is not huge but its a shade or 2 darker than the rest of the car. I was in disbelief and still am, I cant believe it!!

Anyway, the dealer sold me a brand new car with a repainted rear bumper. I am assuming that there was a minor accident, probably in the lot, and the bumper was repainted. There is no mark of paint anywhere else on the car, so it was probably removed and remounted after getting repainted.
So guys, what can I do? I am very mad right now and do not want a new $40K car with a different bumper color

sounds to me as if you have a very strong case if the dealership does not cooperate with you

call them and tell them about this... ask them what they can do? if nothing, say you want your money back, or you will take it to court... be aggressive...

I do not know about the G's but some Honda/Acura bumpers are slightly off in color from the factory! Don't jump the gun yet bro.

I am so mad right now but I am glad that I wont be able to go till monday because I might be too aggressive.
I dont think that its normal that a bumper is considerably darker than the rest of the car. If it comes from factory, then its a defect. I had people look at the car and ask them "look at the back and what do you see?" Everybody said, WTF the color is different!! Its that obvious if you look at it!!

This is true. IP is very hard to match, more so with plastic. I've seen a new IP G with same problem. Stock bumper color was slightly off. Also if you look very closely depending how sunlight hits it, the gas door color will be slightly off. Noticeable on IP, black and other colors.

I agree that pearl white bumpers never blend properly w/ the rest of the car cuz of the material difference...

ok 1st of all thats how they come. Every white and some silver g35 will not match bumpers. No it's not the angle, it's the material the paint is applied too. It's not like they use a completely different paint for each body piece, it's all painted at once, its just how the paint reacts with the body. The rear bumper is of course not metal like the rest of the car, so it will not be the same color. Good luck trying to get anything from the dealership.

Take it to a paint shop and get it checked out. If it is for sure damaged then you need to take it back to them. I had a similar problem. Now I have a new car. Posting here is the first step. If they don't take care of it, make a write up on this forum and others to let everyone know what they did to you. That should help out

it's normal, if you look at most new cars, the paint on the bumper is a bit different, because metal and plastic. no need to worry
