Metallic sound while accelerating anyone?
Let me first start off by saying I am NOT talking about from stop to 1st gear clutch chatter as discussed in the clutch chatter threads...
Does anyone experience this metallic sound when driving slow in first (gear has already been engaged), then acclerarting/floorin it a bit (car is still in gear), and even a little bit in second (during accleration)???
Also, when I drive hard on the car sometimes then pull into my drive way and sit there, my clutch (I think, or something spinning for that matter) makes like a light grindy sound, then when depressed the sound goes away???
Thanks!

Sorry, I doubt it is the ABS test. That comes on at about 7mph and you probably wouldn't hear it while accelerating rapidly. I believe the ABS test only happens once for each start, so if this happens on every acceleration from one turn of the ignition key it is not likely ABS. But I don't know it is from.

is it like a clicking noise at the right rear? if that's that, then you need to have your axle re-torqued and greased. it's a known issue, under warranty.

I keep hearing a screech.. Like another car's squeaking brakes.. but no one is around and I'm not on the brakes. Its almost more like a quick shrill ring noise. Its really intermittant and seems to happen when the car is transitioning in hard cornering. Doesnt matter I suppose, the wheel has be ready to fall off before service will address it. I'd rather not have the techs driving my car for a week on the off chance they hear it.
I know exactly what you are talking about. My car has been doing it for a long time and the techs at the dealership couldn't figure it out. It really got exagerated when I put the Pop charger on. The best explanation I've gotten so far is that the air intake is creating a high pitched, almost whistling, sound on acceleration?? Don't know if I'm buying it, but at least my concern is logged in the service computer in case something bad happens some day.
