Auto Lights
Auto Lights
Am I the only one that has problems with the automatic lights? They never go on when it is Grey out as in when it's raining yet for some reason at dusk they go on, are they tied into the clock or something. Is there a way to change the sensitivity? If I go under a bridge they turn on in 2 seconds yet when it is dark and raining they stay off I dont get it.
Re: Auto Lights
It has to do wiht the ambient light sensor on the dash. Though it may look like the same darkness, it may not be. So adjusting your BCM may not solve your issue. The programming is only so smart. It needs some sort of fuzzy logic or something.
Anyway, here's a link to the available programming changes.

Re: Auto Lights
FWIW, I've thought the same thing. It gets a little too dark for my taste before the lights come on, so I usually end up doing it myself.
When I take my car in for it's first service, I plan to have the lights' sensitivity adjusted up one setting.
