arggghhh

I've owned the car for only 5 days now and i curbed the front driver side wheel today... god...

i hate myself...

i went through one of those touchless car washes on the way home from work.. before going in i thought "boy it is narrow" but then i figured well... if i dont go in now.. i'm goin to go in eventually.. because this is the only touchless car wash i know in the area...

so i went in and with the water spraying and stuff i couldnt see or hear anything

when i came out.. there is a small rash right on the edge by the wheel it's about 1 to 1.5 inches long...

argghhhh

you can hardly notice it though.. but i know its there...

If its curbed a little a local body shop should have the tools to "buff" it out. The body shop around here does that. All u have to do is take the wheel off, along with the tire off as well and they can grind it and smooth it out to where u cant even notice. Ive seen it done, and if its done right, it looks good as new. Just a thought!

You're not alone...

The first day I picked up the car, I made the mistake of letting my wife drive it.
"can I drive it?" - she says. I would've looked like an a$$hole if I said no, so we switched seats. We're pulling out of the lot and all I hear is a LOUD grinding sound... she managed to curb the rear passenger rim a good 3 inches. she wasn't use to the long wheel base. I was SO pi$$ed. I ended up touching it up with a metallic touch-up paint from autozone, the color doesn't match perfectly though. Till today, it's the only scar on the car, and whenever she tries to get fresh with me about something I did, I'll simply point my finger at the blemished wheel and all goes quiet..... a blessing in disguise.

"You got home at 5 in the morning last night, and you reaked of liquor!".... out comes the finger......

Dude, that's not cool. Why do you have to disrespect people like that?

I feel for you dude, but your first mistake was taking it to a touchless car wash. Those things are terrible and are a big waste of money. If you want to wash your car and don't have a place to do it, take it to a DIY coin op. late at night, bring a bucket and soap of your choice, and hand wash it. Never use the place's brush though!

How funny. I bought mine on a Friday and on Saturday I flew to China for a week. On Tuesday I got an email from my wife - "I hit a curb with your wheel!"

Same effect - very remorseful - works to my advantage.
