I live in the country and bugs are everywhere starting in March.
Drove yesterday from Chicago & the G was plastered when I got home. I take the G to a car wash with a pressurized hose. I soap all the car 1st, then do the top, sides and rear and finally go back to the front to remove all the exoskeletons and guts. Works like a charm.
There are bug/tar cleaners in the stores, but this has worked best for all our cars.

You just cleaning the front or the whole car?
I use a hose with low pressure and rinse the front so as not to spray the entire car.
After I soak the little monsters good, I get a small microfibre and wash each one off using a light flow from the hose to provide a constant rinse. I turn the microfibre very often and rinse continually.
Works great. No problems. She gets a rinse everynight before I put her in the garage.
Careful with the love bugs - they are acidic and will etch your paint if left on too long.

A high quailty wax and even a coat of QD after washing helps those little suckers from sticking to the car well. You should be able to wash most of the stuff off with just a good flow of water and a little soap. I would soak them good first so that most of it flows off so as not to scratch the paint. Good Luck.
