electrical glitches

Sorry if I missed a thread on the subject, but I looked for 3 hours and don't have enough time to look though the other 14,697 posts. I have a couple intermittent problems, twice on hot days I left my windows down 2", I get back, drive off, I roll up the window and it rolls itself halfway back down. The other is my trunk release fails to work, either with the key fob or from the inside. After turning the key on and off again it will work. Anyone else have these problems?

Your window problem has to do with a window regulator, take it to the dealer and they'll fix it.

yea, I am having that same problem with my window, and now the window wont even go down when I hit the button, but when I put it back up it will clase, then open back up a few inches, but I think I am going to have the dealer take a look when I take it in for service

I'm having the same issue with the trunk. Sometimes, it simply refuses to open unless I put the key in the ignition. No clue what it could be yet.

Chekc the disable switch in the glove box to see if it is on.

Have any of you guys either...washed the engine bays(water into fuse box), have aftermarket mods that require any wireing(breaking seal through firewall, shorts..etc), remove glove box(trunk valet switch is easy to screw up)...............

the window issue is a common nissan thing....as mentioned earlier, it's something with the regulator....I had a maxima in a shop that we replaced the driver window on....we had the same problem and had to take it to the dealer....there is a certain sequence of events to "program" (if you will) the regulator..they should fix it under warranty, no problem...not sure about the key fob thing, but take them with you when go to the dealer and have them re-program them....they should do that no charge too....good luck...

Not a problem, it works most of the time. Only once in a while it will refuse to work.

The window bouncing back down after an auto-up is part of the anti-pinch mechanism to prevent tissue damage if an arm or finger gets caught. It's overridden by holding the botton up and can be reset or readjusted by the dealer--they have to take the interior panel off and fiddle with the regulator.
