I don't have a spot on mine. The tiny bit of surface rust that appears after washing or rain disappears within seconds of brake application.

I seem to be having the same problem. After the two days of constant barraging rain in Palos Verdes, my brakes seem to have rust on the brake rotors. Even with the hard braking I can't seem to get them off. Not that I can even worry about that right now since my car has been damaged (not because of me; long story. might wanna check out my other thread I posted the other day). I'll post up pictures on a new thread tomorrow.

brake rotors are exposed metal, it oxidizes when hit with water and oxygen.....it just happens......it happens on all brake rotors

Must be the brembos then because I have no issues at all and I live in a damp area with salty air on the coast.

Brake rotors are cast iron. Cast iron rusts. Don't worry about it.
